Frequently Asked Questions

About Me / Experience
How long have you been photographing weddings?
I’ve been documenting couples weddings since 2018.

How would you describe your working style?
Organized and professional, my goal is to create a comfortable environment for the couples I work with, allowing them to relax and let their guard down. On your wedding day, there’s a 99% chance you’ll see me moving around with a smile on my face. I love meeting new people, and after many years in photography, the technical side (the camera, lighting, and settings) is second nature to me. Wedding days pass by incredibly quickly, so I make a conscious effort to slow things down when possible, giving couples a moment to breathe, take in the beauty of the day, reflect on their love for one another, and truly enjoy the experience.

Do you give direction during portrait sessions?
Many people, myself included, aren’t always sure what to do when having their photo taken. I’m happy to offer gentle direction to couples who feel they need it. Often, the most natural moments happen when the camera isn’t pointed directly at you. I take note of those interactions and may ask you to recreate them, resulting in photos that feel authentic and relaxed.

Booking & Payment
Do you require a retainer?
Yes. To reserve your wedding date, a $1,500 retainer is required at the time of booking and is applied toward your total investment. Fifty percent of the balance is due six months prior to your wedding, with the remaining balance due two weeks before the wedding day. If you are booking less than 6 months out, fifty percent is due at booking.

Would you travel for a wedding?
Yes, I’m happy to travel for weddings. Please reach out for travel details and availability.

Photography Coverage Options
Do you offer film photography?
I have been photographing on film since 2015 and offer film photography alongside digital coverage for couples drawn to its timeless aesthetic. Film coverage is offered as an add-on and includes premium film stock with professional development and high-resolution scanning. Please reach out for a detailed pricing guide.

Do we need a second photographer?
While I’m confident capturing a wedding day on my own, I often suggest adding a second photographer for larger celebrations or weddings taking place across multiple locations. Any second photographer I bring along is a trusted professional I’ve worked closely with before.

How many photos can we expect to receive of our wedding day?

Planning & Timeline
Do you help in the planning process?
Approximately six months before your wedding, we’ll talk through a shot list, important moments and how you imagine your day coming together. One month before the wedding, I’ll ask for a family photo list including names, relationships, and groupings so that we can keep portraits efficient and relaxed. If you have a wedding planner, I can communicate directly with them about the timeline and logistics, allowing you to enjoy your day without added stress.

How long does it take for us to recieve our wedding photos?
You’ll receive a preview of 15–20 images within 48 hours of your wedding day. Your full gallery will be delivered within five weeks. I understand how special these photos are and take great care in preparing a gallery that you’ll treasure for years to come.

Special Situations
What happens if it rains on my wedding day?
Weather on your wedding day will never compromise your images. My expertise with strobes and advanced lighting techniques allows me to create exceptional, high-quality light in any situation. Rain or shine, I know exactly how to craft beautiful, timeless photos to capture your day.

Do you have liability insurance?
Yes, and I’d be happy to provide if required by the venue.
